With the shy attitude of a fragile person, and the help of a beautiful piano, a guitar or even a spinetta, Rachel Kenedy holds us in the air, at an ethereal space where we can’t focus in anything else apart from her music. She sings her extremely well written lyrics with a mesmerizing clean voice that brings to mind Kate Bush or a more British version of Regina Spektor. With a few listens you understand that she’s not that flimsy and she knows exactly what she’s saying and doing; despite her tender age, she’s a full-grown woman with things to tell… Songs like ‘Quand La Soleil Fond’, ‘Mayfly Maddy’, ‘The Mechanical Girl’ or ‘Delight’ cannot just be accidents; she’s a great composer and performer ready to be shown to the world.
